Thank you for your support in 2023, our efforts continue in 2024

In 2024, help us to further strengthen our independent investigative journalism.

Those of you who have been with us for a long time already know this well: for us at Solomon, we aim to develop journalism that serves the public interest. We see it as our mission to hold power to account. We dedicate our time and resources to highlight issues that are often not covered by mainstream media.

In 2023, our team grew. Our annual report in 2022 was signed by three journalists — now our team has twice as many members. We’ve also grown as a community: on Instagram alone, we gained 11,500 followers, while visits to our website more than doubled.

We’ve seen the impact of our work grow as well. Based on our research findings, questions were made to the Greek and the European Parliament (e.g. CSAM , pushbacks); also, (together with our partners), Solomon was awarded the Daphne Caruana Galizia Prize for Journalism; in addition, we were equally “honored” by the Union of Border Guards of Evros, when they threatened to take legal action against us when our investigation shed light on their illegal practices.

We’ve published more than 40 investigations, we’ve collaborated with teams and colleagues that we value, and we’ve spoken at workshops and on panels in Greece and abroad about our work in an increasingly stressful environment.

And in 2023, we couldn’t have accomplished anything without you. We are grateful for your support, and we hope we were able to meet the goal we set a year ago: to convince more readers that they can trust journalism again.

At Solomon we do not accept advertising and are not affiliated with any political party. Every euro we have goes towards research. Our funding covers field missions, our contributors’ fees, and the work (often hundreds of hours) that it takes to bring a publication to fruition.

This year, you can continue to support us with a subscription of your choice, and help us make an even bigger impact in 2024.

With much appreciation for your support,

Solomon team
