We’re thrilled to announce that Solomon is the very first Journalism project in Greece launching via Kickstarter.

Tomorrow, October 6th, 2020, Solomon will be introducing its new Membership Model through Kickstarter to bring a wider range of awareness to our cause by joining a worldwide crowdfunding platform set to make its first steps in Greece.

Solomon is launching its membership model for you to support us directly. Securing the funds we need allows us to keep on making inclusive, collaborative and responsible journalism, and gives us the invaluable opportunity to grow, develop, and achieve sustainability.

Solomon was founded in 2016 as a response to what was broadly called the “refugee crisis”. Our goal was to tell the stories of those who had little chances of being heard in the mainstream media. Solomon began that first year, with no actual budget and its early creators had no “hard experience” in the news business. But there was a strong sense of the fact that there is much to be done towards creating a more responsible and inclusive media.

We worked hard. Solomon managed to develop into a trustworthy source for investigative journalism that is constantly evolving. Despite the difficulties and growing pains, we’ve built a community of dedicated staff, talented collaborators, inspiring teachers, involved readers and participants who are committed to our goal of promoting more ethical standards in journalism, where all voices are heard, and working towards a more inclusive society.

Of course, there have been ups and downs. We’ve experienced disappointments and have learned from our failures. We’ve felt what it’s like to work without knowing whether we’ll have the resources to continue our efforts. But we never gave up. We persisted. Always pushing harder for change in the way this industry works.

At Solomon, we are wholly committed to our venture, and with your support we strive to continue the work we began in 2016, dedicated to our development, achieving our goals – one voice at a time, one story at a time, we can make the difference.

You can count on that.
