Each summer, millions of tourists visit Greece’s islands and mainland, as the country continues to break records for visitor arrivals. The country’s tourism sector is often described as a success story, reflected in images of idyllic landscapes and hospitality that dominate public discourse and social media.

But less is known about the experiences of the people who make this industry run – including foreign workers.

As part of an investigation into seasonal work in Greece, Solomon is seeking to hear from international workers who are currently working in tourism, have done so in the recent past, or are considering doing so in the coming summer.

Are you working on an island or on the mainland? In a hotel, bar, restaurant, or short-term rental? What conditions did you encounter? How were you recruited, and what challenges did you face?

Your responses will help inform our reporting on labor conditions, recruitment practices, and the realities of seasonal work in Greece.

The questionnaire takes 2-3 minutes to complete and is anonymous, unless you choose to share contact details so a Solomon journalist can follow up.

You can find the questionnaire here.
